The Widowmaker Outdoors LLC
Effective Date: September 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how The Widowmaker Outdoors LLC collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our applications and services. Plain and simple: your location is only shared with the people you choose, your harvest records belong to you, we do not sell your personal data, and kids' data gets extra protection.
(a) Account information: name, email address, encrypted password, profile details you choose to add.
(b) Location data: GPS tracking data you generate when you enable tracking; real-time location when you opt in to hunting party sharing (visible only to party members you invite, only while enabled); general location (state/region) used to display seasons and regulations; wildlife observations and harvest logs you voluntarily record.
(c) Usage data: feature interactions, crash reports, device type, operating system, app version, IP address, diagnostics.
(d) User content: photos, journal entries, comments.
(e) Payment data: we do not store your full card number; payments are processed by third-party processors (such as Stripe) under their own privacy policies.
(f) Communications: support requests, feedback, and service emails.
To provide the Services (mapping, tracking, seasons, party sharing, journaling); authenticate your account; process subscriptions; respond to support; improve the app with aggregated, de-identified analytics; send service notices; send marketing only with consent, withdrawable anytime via unsubscribe; support the conservation programs described in Section 4; comply with law; and enforce our Terms.
WE DO NOT SELL YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION, and we do not share your precise GPS location with advertisers, data brokers, or anyone outside the recipients described in this policy.
For users in consent-based jurisdictions (GDPR, CCPA/CPRA), we process personal data based on: performance of contract, your consent (location sharing, marketing, optional data sharing), legitimate interests (security, improvement), and legal obligation. You can withdraw consent at any time.
If you opt in, wildlife observation data you log (species, date, general location, counts) may be shared with state or federal wildlife agencies (such as Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks) and research partners for population monitoring, habitat assessment, and research. Sharing is opt-in — observations are never shared unless you enable it. We share observation data, not your identity; submissions are aggregated and de-identified. You can disable sharing anytime in Settings.
Your real-time location within a party is visible only to party members, only while sharing is enabled, and never shared with third parties. Stop sharing anytime with one tap. Create parties only with people you trust.
Only with: service providers who run the Services for us (hosting, USGS/BLM/Esri mapping, payment processors, email delivery, analytics), bound by contract; hunting party members you invite (your shared location only); wildlife agencies and research partners (only opt-in conservation data); legal authorities when required by law; and business transfers (merger or acquisition, under this policy's protections).
We keep account information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, tax, or legitimate business purposes. You can request deletion anytime (Section 9).
We use encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and encrypted storage for sensitive data. No method is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information and promptly investigate incidents.
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, and export your data (including harvest logs and journal entries — they're yours); withdraw consent for location sharing, marketing, or conservation data sharing; opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we don't sell it anyway); and non-discrimination for exercising these rights. To exercise any right, email THEWIDOWMAKER157511@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. For consented users under 13, we collect only what the app needs to function. Real-time location sharing for accounts under 18 requires parental consent and can be disabled by the parent anytime. Parents may review, delete, refuse further collection of, or revoke consent for their child's information by contacting THEWIDOWMAKER157511@gmail.com. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 13 without consent, we will delete it.
We use essential cookies/local storage to operate the app, analytics to understand aggregate usage, and marketing cookies only with consent. We do not use precise-location tracking for advertising.
We only send marketing emails to users who opted in or beta participants receiving service updates. Every marketing email contains a physical address and one-click unsubscribe.
Material changes will be communicated in-app or by email at least 14 days before taking effect.
